Padres trade Melvin Upton Jr. to Blue Jays for prospect

The San Diego Padres have traded Melvin Upton Jr. to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for pitching prospect Hansel Rodriguez and cash, the Padres announced on Tuesday.
